She is 22 years old and is from Guarda. Due to her academic and professional ambitions, at the age of 17 she left her hometown and moved to Vila Real, where she lived for 4 years, and which reminded her of “home” as she considered it a welcoming place. In this city, she graduated in Genetics and Biotechnology and is currently in the final year of a Masters in Clinical Laboratory Biology.

Professional needs forced her to move to another city, this time to one of the major cities, Porto. During her academic career, she had the opportunity to get to know the world of associations, through her participation in student groups, such as the Genetics and Biotechnology Student Group (ADNGB) and the Environmental Study and Protection Group (NEPA), which, together with some Erasmus+ projects in which she had the opportunity to participate, inspired her to be more involved and to believe that an initiative could make all the difference.

Thus, with the founding of Guarda a Terra – Youth Association, with other young people, he believes that his hometown and the interior could become places of interest for young people and families.
