Uncover Scholarships will support 10 young people linked to the city of Guimarães in the creation of a video work on sustainability and human values.
Those selected will be integrated into a training plan, on one mentoring program and They will receive support in the amount of 300 euros.
As final works They will be presented publicly. in the second edition of the Uncover festival, in Guimarães, from March 12 to 15, 2026.
This initiative is supported by Porticus and is part of Down to eARTh, a European project that mobilizes young people and local communities to co-create artistic interventions.
Applications closed on October 30th, 20:00 pm (mainland Portugal time).
The works will be presented on the day March 12, 2026, at the Uncover 2026 festival.
People between 18 and 25 years old, Portuguese or foreign, who live, study, work or simply spend time in Guimarães frequently.
At the Uncover festival we question the power of image in creating perceptions. More than a visual record, the image is a tool capable of informing, clarifying and creating bridges between common stories, but also manipulating, reinforcing inequalities and perpetuating prejudices. The selected proposals should critically reflect this perspective. focusing on one of these themes: sustainability and/or human values.

The selected proposals will have access to:
- a training plan with face-to-face workshops focused on mobile phone implementation
- a mentoring program which includes contact with international partners
- a international digital meeting with the project partners
