The 8th edition of the Almada City Council initiative, this year in partnership with Gerador, extends for the first time to other artistic areas besides music, namely the areas of declamation and dance.
The artistic community had the opportunity to apply until February 29, 2024, through the creation or interpretation of intervention works in one of these three areas.
From all the candidates, the jury selected eight works per artistic area, which will be presented live in Almada during the month of April at Incrível Almadense, Casino da Trafaria and Centro Cultural e Juvenil de Santo Amaro. Discover below the selected artists and the program of events where the winner of each area will be announced.

The selected works will be announced by the end of March 15.03.2024, XNUMX.
The Declamar Abril initiative will take place on 13.04.2024 at the Casino da Trafaria.
The Dançar Abril initiative will take place on 20.04.2024 at the Santo Amaro Cultural and Youth Center
The Cantar Abril initiative will take place on 27.04.2024 at Incrível Almadense
At these events, the winner of each area will also be announced, who will receive a monetary prize, 2.500 euros for the winner of the Singing April category and 1.500 euros for the winners of the Dancing and Reciting April categories. They will also be entitled to an individual interview for the Gerador and a free course from the Gerador Academy.
Those selected will have access to a representation value.
The jury is composed of two authors recognized for their work in each area, a representative of GDA (Artists' Rights Management) and a representative of Gerador.
