Filipa Belo is an entrepreneur and strategic consultant in the areas of creative economy, cultural tourism, and entrepreneurship. She founded Portugal Manual in 2018 and created the first Portuguese platform dedicated to promoting new contemporary crafts, already supporting more than 120 projects through curation, consulting, content production, immersive experiences, and capacity-building activities. Her practice focuses on innovation, living heritage, and strengthening creative communities.
In 2025, she co-founded WAF – Women in Art Fellowship , a fellowship that supports and gives visibility to the work of women artists in Portugal, focusing on social and cultural impact. In partnership with Portugal Manual and SOTA - State of the Art , this initiative aims to support women artists in Portugal with funding, mentorship, and real visibility. WAF is more than a fellowship; it's a platform to give a stage to the female perspective in art and was designed for women artists.
