Marco Mendonca, actor, director and playwright, began his career as an intern at the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II. Since then he has worked with various companies such as Os Possesos, Mala Voadora, Formiga Atómica or Artistas Unidos and directors such as Ricardo Neves Neves, Liesbeth Gritter or Tonan Quito.
In 2023, he signed his first creation, "Brackface," a solo show, written and directed by himself, where he combines stand-up comedy and documentary to dismantle a persistent racist practice, and, in 2025, he wrote and directed "Reparations Baby!", the satirical game show that focused on colonial trivia and Black representation during prime time.
He was the winner of the 6th edition of the Ageas 2025 Revelation Award and has been part of the cast of “Catarina and the Beauty of Killing Fascists”, by Tiago Rodrigues, on national and international tour since 2020.
