Learn at Gerador Academy

Every day we encourage learning processes, made up of original and provocative courses, taught by professionals we admire.

It all started in September 2016, when we began to design what would become today's Gerador Academy, after travelling around the country talking to entities, studying similar cases and discovering people who inspire us.

How is our training offer organized?

Between 25h and 15h courses. The courses take place over 3 seasons per year, in January, April and October. Some take place exclusively online and others also in person, at the Generator Center, the space of Gerador in Lumiar, Lisbon. Even when they are face-to-face, the courses are broadcast online, so that we can welcome all interested parties, regardless of where they live.

The training courses are designed to be relevant to your life, with fresh ideas and new perspectives, always after work hours.

25h and 15h courses

The courses are organized into different training areas: cultural management, journalism and media, citizenship and community, audiovisuals and development of personal skills.

They are designed to be modular and complementary to each other, so the more courses you take, the more complete your training will be. You can be an expert in your area of interest, but you can also build your own training involving different areas of interest. You decide how you want to do it. We ensure that any solution is possible.

If you enroll in more than one course at the same time, you will have access to a special 10% discount.

If you are a Gerador Subscriber, you also have access to an additional discount of €15 on the total registration fee when purchasing 25-hour or 15-hour courses.

What is the class format?

We want the training to be relevant to your life and, therefore, the classes have a significant practical component, with frequent exercises and debates.

The 25-hour courses are organized into 10 classes of 2 hours each and the 30-hour courses into 15 classes of 6 hours each. Classes tend to take place once a week on a fixed day.

All students who complete the courses with a score of 3 or higher on a scale of 1 to 5 will be entitled to a certificate from Gerador Academy. In the event of failure, students will receive a certificate of attendance.

Does Gerador Academy have a regulation?

Of course. You can check everything here.
