Margarida Carrusca is the guest on this week's episode and the winner of the textile art category at the 2024 National Young Creators Exhibition, with her work "deixaram tudo" (they left everything).
During our conversation, he revealed how his creative process differs somewhat from others, centered primarily on the search for answers, connected to a more spiritual and religious aspect of artistic production, characterized by the pursuit of human values of peace, connection, and reflection – present here through fishing nets.
Simplicity and softer colors are characteristics with which she identifies as an artist, acknowledging that her work can be a relevant vehicle for reflecting on Religion, at a time when the debate surrounding it seems increasingly complex and difficult. Alongside reflection, Margarida aims, through her work, to enhance contemplation of her art, which she characterizes as genuine, natural, and delicate.
