Peculiar is the guest on this week's episode and the winner of the music category at the 2024 National Young Creators Showcase, with the work "Escura noite" (Dark Night).
The winning piece emerged for him in a very unexpected way, in the context of a school production, starting from an a cappella recording that was later harmonically complemented by varied musical elements, unusual in his work.
He shared with us his ongoing search for identity and musical voice, in which his work reflects a complex, constantly evolving process. "Escura noite" (Dark Night) is full of emotion and was for Peculiar the "path back home" during a time of change and new learning. The choice of the name Peculiar parallels the very difference he artistically seeks to assert as an author.
