Ricardo Gonçalves Dias is the guest on this week's episode and the winner of the literature category at the 2024 National Young Creators Showcase with his work "Os Gonzaga".
In conversation with us, he shared how his writing process unfolds without a preconceived idea and even without much creative awareness. The winning work was no exception. As the writing progressed, guiding principles emerged, making the process more organic.
He spoke to us about his recent interest in the work of Martim Sousa Tavares, highlighting the interaction that can exist between the various arts: painting, music, and literature. For Ricardo, there is an inevitable relationship between the works a writer reads and the identity that he himself will construct as an author. The writer should even have the opportunity to become the reader of his own work.
