Born on May 20, 1969, he holds a master's degree in Geography and Regional and Local Planning. His professional life is linked to the management of community funds in Portugal and international cooperation projects, in the Portuguese Public Administration, in the European Commission and currently in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He is still the driving force behind the project. Applications Lab, European Funds for Arts, Culture and Creativity, a space for ideas and people to converge around the main European funding initiatives for the cultural sector.

He is also a man for many activities: advertising, writing, photography, traveling. Passionate about surfing, he sees the waves as a form of liberation and a unique moment of harmony between man and nature.

He is co-author of the first national surf guide, Portugal Surf Guide and host of the documentary Movement, a journey into Creative Lives.

Higher education: future or space of uncertainty?

For many young people, higher education remains the natural, almost obligatory, path to securing a better future.
