The setting for this episode of Lugar Comum is the interior of the Northern Military Maintenance, in Beato, Lisbon. With us is José Sá Fernandes, the coordinator of the project that aims to transform the seven hectares of these former military facilities into a large "Arts District".

The proposal for the requalification of the space includes the construction of affordable housing and has a huge focus on creating spaces for artistic and journalistic creation.

The project had his first public performance on the 23rd and 24th of November, but, for now, it is just an idea on paper, without the agreement or disagreement of the Government, and without the formal intervention of the Lisbon City Council.

On December 21st, between 14:30 pm and 17:00 pm, it will once again open its doors to the public for a moment of discussion for the future implementation of the Neighborhood. Entrance is at number 84 Rua do Grilo, Lisbon.
