Support Gerador in building a more creative, critical and participatory society. Find out how here.

We've designed a year-long program, comprised of different modules, to encourage deeper thinking rather than instant gratification, connecting journalism, art, and citizenship. It consists of 34 hours of in-person instruction at the Goethe-Institut in Lisbon, spread over 10 months, featuring prominent figures. Plus, you'll receive four very special letters delivered to your home.

A reading club where, instead of books, we read news reports, and where, through the practice of journalistic excellence, we combat misinformation. In each of the four sessions, we work with a published news report that we admire and that deserves to be discussed in an open and pluralistic way. The report is shared with the participants beforehand, and afterwards, a debate will take place with the author present.
With Joana Gorjão Henriques, Luciana Leiderfab, Marta Vidal and Miguel Carvalho.
Over the course of a year, we challenged four writers we admire to write a letter on a topic they consider urgent, ending with a question. The letters are sent to the participants, who can respond with a text, a drawing, or a photograph. Each writer selects one of the responses and, at the end of the year, we publish a self-published edition with the texts from the selected writers and readers.
With Alice Neto de Sousa, Daniel Sampaio, Luísa Sobral and Valter Hugo Mãe.
This workshop offers a practical immersion into contemporary information dynamics: how misinformation is manufactured, how to detect it, and how to debunk it. Three speakers will present complementary perspectives in three independent 2-hour sessions. At the end, each participant will leave with a small "survival kit" for critically consuming news and communicating better in personal, educational, and professional contexts.
With José Moreno, José Pacheco Pereira and Salomé Leal.
Democracy thrives on voting, yes, but also on informed participation, critical scrutiny, and the ability to engage in dialogue with those who think differently. This course proposes a practical mapping of citizenship: understanding how public policies are decided, opinions are formed, and institutions function; practicing tools for interpreting debates, data, and narratives; and developing skills to intervene responsibly in the public sphere.
With Isabel Mendes Lopes, Marina Costa Lobo and Pedro Delgado Alves
We propose using artistic practices to open new perspectives, better understand the society in which we live, and explore alternative paths. Four participants will share complementary viewpoints in four independent 2-hour sessions. By the end, each participant will have the tools to imaginatively address personal, professional, and social challenges.
With Joana Barrios, NOSSA, Os Espacialistas and Rui Capitão (RTP Lab).
