Sara Faces was born in Lisbon in 1987 and has a degree in Artistic Studies from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. She has been studying with Professor Polina Klimovitskaya since 2009 (between Lisbon, New York and Paris).

Making her debut as an actress in 2003, she has worked in theater with Adriano Luz, Ana Tamen, Beatriz Batarda, Cristina Carvalhal, Fernanda Lapa, Isabel Medina, João Mota, Luís Castro, Marco Martins, Nuno Cardoso, Nuno M. Cardoso, Nuno Carinhas, Olga Roriz, Ricardo Aibéo and Ricardo Pais. In 2015, she was awarded the Portuguese Society of Authors as best theater actress, received an Honorable Mention from the Portuguese Association of Theater Critics and the Golden Globe for best actress for her performance in the farce, by Luis Castro (2015).

In cinema he worked with directors Alberto Seixas Santos, Manoel de Oliveira, Pedro Marques, Rui Simões, Tiago Guedes and Frederico Serra, Valeria Sarmiento, Manuel Mozos, Patrícia Sequeira, João Mário Grilo, among others. He was responsible for the dramaturgy, casting direction and acting direction of the film. snu, by Patrícia Sequeira. She was awarded the L'Oreal Paris Young Talent Award at the Estoril Film Festival for her performance in the film Bad Thing (2008).

As the director highlights The waves (2013) based on the homonymous work by Virginia Woolf, an author to whom she returns in Orlando (2015), a co-creation with Victor Hugo Pontes. In 2019 it premieres Limbo with his staging, a show still on tour around the country, having recently been presented in London. He signs for the second time the Staged Readings Cycle in the Winter Garden of Sao Luiz Municipal Theater.

At Academia Gerador, Sara Carinhas is the course teacher Writing for performers and creators, where you will share exercises and reflections that you use in your creative processes in collaboration with your performers, such as improvisation, autobiographical writing or discovering a performance script. Everyone has stories and, therefore, this course is aimed at those who seek to tell them, fantasizing about them, transforming them, stealing them from others, rewriting themselves.
