The challenge of financial sustainability Gerador is the biggest constant since the day we were born. Today, as in the beginning, we have to continually discover new and intricate ways to finance our activity. Unfortunately, we have the feeling that it is becoming increasingly complex. There are fewer entities, public and private, interested in supporting journalism, culture and education. That is why we depend more on you, dear reader.

Your contribution allows us to produce slow journalism reports on topics that are not usually covered by the media and that are fundamental to society. It enables the creation of new artistic initiatives that overcome barriers to access to culture. It promotes non-formal education in an original way and the creative development of studies and essays.
O Gerador argues that information is a public good, and tends to be freely accessible. That is why we have not erected a paywall for our articles, which would require monetary investment. Instead, we have developed an original model from scratch, a timewall that will soon be present in our main reports. Access remains free, but with a time delay for those who are not our regular contributors.

A Gerador Magazine has existed since the day we were born and we will continue to be stubborn in its longevity. Roughly every six months we publish a new edition, with the first texts of in-depth reports with months of research, opinion pieces from people we value and presentations of artistic works created specifically for our pages. In 2025 we will have new editions in May and October. Only Members Gerador receive our magazine.
