The challenge of financial sustainability Gerador is the biggest constant since the day we were born. Today, as in the beginning, we have to continually discover new and intricate ways to finance our activity. Unfortunately, we have the feeling that it is becoming increasingly complex. There are fewer entities, public and private, interested in supporting journalism, culture and education. That is why we depend more on you, dear reader.

Your contribution makes it possible to produce slow journalism reports on issues that are rarely covered by mainstream media yet are fundamental to society. It enables the creation of new artistic initiatives that break down barriers to cultural access. It fosters original approaches to non-formal education and supports the creative development of studies and essays.
A Gerador Magazine It has existed since we were born and we will continue to be stubborn in its longevity, publishing it twice a year. In 2026, the first edition will have a more artistic focus, with works and texts created specifically for it, and in October a more journalistic one, with an in-depth report resulting from months of investigation. There will also be two surprise mailings where we will provoke you with new ideas and questions.
O Gerador argues that information is a public good, and tends to be freely accessible. Therefore, we don't erect a paywall for our articles, which would require monetary investment. Instead, we developed an original model from scratch: a timewall that appears on our main reports. Access remains free, but with a time delay for those who aren't our regular contributors.
